KYC Tiering & Entitlement Engine
Product owner · Decode Global
KYC requirements differ by product and risk tier, and they change often. I modelled the policy as versioned data that Compliance can edit themselves — a requirement matrix across product × tier (T0–T3) for funds, CeFi yield, FX and CFD Pro. A gap engine works out what each client is still missing and grants access automatically once a tier is satisfied, while high-risk products keep a human in the loop.
Confidential company project. Built at Decode Global for regulated financial-services businesses — the platform and its data are private, so there's no public link or product screenshots. Happy to walk through the architecture and my contribution on request.
What it does
- Versioned rule tables (draft → active → archived); published versions are immutable, so every decision is reproducible.
- Gap engine: required − passed = missing, with automatic grants for low-risk tiers.
- Two-person approval for high-risk products (CFD Pro, IB portal).
- Source-of-funds hold that parks large inflows until Compliance clears them.
- Cross-entity KYC review comparing what a client has already cleared at a separate entity — deterministic rules, no PII sent to an LLM, and the two entities' approvals are never merged.
